Do I need experience to join a class?
Not at all. All DM Mindful Wellness sessions are designed to be inclusive and accessible. Beginners are always welcome, and variations are offered so you can work at your own pace.

What should I bring to a session?

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows full movement. Avoid loose shorts or clothing with zips or buttons that may catch on equipment or feel uncomfortable on your body.

Can I do Pilates if I have an injury or health condition?
In many cases, yes — but please speak to your GP or healthcare provider first. Always let me know about any injuries, conditions, or changes in your health so I can offer safe modifications.

Is Pilates suitable during pregnancy?
Pilates can be beneficial during pregnancy, but only with appropriate modifications. Please contact me before attending so we can discuss the safest options for you.

How often should I practise Pilates?
Most people feel benefits from 1–2 sessions per week. Consistency is more important than intensity — small, regular practice creates lasting change.

What if I can’t do a movement?
That’s completely fine. Pilates is about listening to your body. I always offer variations so you can choose what feels right for you on the day.

Will Pilates help with back pain?
Many people find Pilates helpful for improving posture, mobility, and core strength, which can support back health. However, it is not a medical treatment. Always seek professional advice if you have ongoing pain.

Do I need any equipment?
Most classes require only a mat. Sometimes we use small props such as bands, blocks, balls or light hand weights — these are always optional and alternatives can be provided.
